Welcome back xius...

Met up with ah gor and xiuz at the Goodwood Park Hotel for English high tea by the pool side. I thought the food was nice... it was a quality buffet and not a typical "quantity" buffet in a hotel. The kitchen made 4 finger sandwhiches at a time and topped it up... i.e. the food was fresh. Xius was doing very well, gorging down the buffet... i was a tad slower and ah gor gave up after 3 plates (i think)... the pictures would explain why...

I promised the teachers at SAS that i would make someting for them to eat everytime i visited them.. Its a little difficult to think of what to make and bring cos
(i) I have to think of their dietary preferences
(ii) How i can transport the food
(iii) The amount of time i have to prepare the food
(iv) Whether i would be satisfied with the food (it must not only taste good but must be aesthetically pleasing and better if it is confusing)
Had a relatively smaller menu today as i had to make Onion Marmalade or Onion Jam from scratch and that involves a 2 hour cooking process...
The amount of onion jam i get fom about 1.5kg of shallots and white onions

The completed pie, dressed with mozzarella slices... could not find buffalo mozzarella, so i just had to settle for some cheapie mozzarella that cold storage stocked
